The World Ends with You is a Nintendo DS Action RPG developed by Square Enix and reviewed by yours truly Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation.

Music Catch is a relaxing music game which makes it perfect for a short break of 5-10 minutes. The player takes control of an orb that can be moved with the mouse to collect particles that are appearing from a rotating line.
The goal of the game is to catch as many particles as possible before the game ends which will be the case after one and a half rotations. Yellow particles multiply bonus points, violet particles attract every other particle for a short while except for the red particles which reduce the collected bonus.
The game is pretty simply and the only motivation to play it again is to beat the previous high score but as I said earlier it’s providing a nice way to relax for a few minutes. The music and effects of Music Catch are well done and it’s fun to play the game. Collecting the particles does not seem to have an effect on the music which would have been nice.

I discovered today’s game at the Download Squad blog. Knuckelheads is a jump and run game with a twist. Instead of jumping and running around you take the role of two different colored heads that are connected to each other with an elastic chain.
The chain can be extended and retracted with the up and down arrow keys and moved with the left and right ones. That’s all there is to know about moving the characters around in the level.
The objective of every jump and run game in existence is to reach the level exit which is done by carefully adjusting the lengths of the chain to avoid level obstacles like sharp spikes and enemies that can be hit by the right colored head. If the other head hits the enemy one health is lost and you only got three at your disposal.
The levels contain several goodies like health ups and bonus points which can be collected by touching them with one of the heads.

Graphics are excellent and remind me of many Amiga jump and runs which used similar looking graphics. Each level can be selected separately once it has been beat for the first time. It’s a fun game, great for a short break.

I was never a huge fan of the Postal games nor the abyssal movie directed by Uwe Boll who is known for creating computer games into extraordinary bad movies. In a move to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Postal series the team decided to release the multiplayer part of the game Postal 2 Share The Pain.
The game features 14 multiplayer maps, 25 playable characters, 4 different gametypes and 11 crazy weapons. The download is available at Filefront and has a size of roughly 600 Megabytes.
This looks like a similar move to Sierra’s move to offer the multiplayer part of their shooter Fear for free. Downloads are a bit slow currently with roughly 300 Kilobyte per second which could be due to many users downloading the game at once from Filefront.
I cannot really say much about the game because I have not played it at all. Wikipedia has the following information on the game:
Postal² is a 2003 American computer game by Running With Scissors (RWS). It is a sequel to the 1997 game Postal. Both are intentionally highly controversial due to high levels of violence and stereotyping. Unlike its predecessor, Postal² is a first-person shooter based on the Unreal Graphics Engine.
It’s definitely not a game suited for minors and parents should take care that such a game does not get in the hands of their kids.
